Gate Crasher
Gate Crasher originally arose as a Nirvana revival band, and you can tell from their first album. The echoes of the “great Seattle bang” come through strongly even today in the likeness of Gate Crasher. Gate Crasher first established their sound in clubs in Brno and across the Czech Republic, which led them to also play in France (Paris, Rennes).

Ka?kala
Ka?kala, a Czech-American female band, will bring you their raging words of wisdom in songs of cowgirls, melodies about liberation and several morbidities on top of that. „Whipping good fun for the whole family!”

Kv?ty
The band Kv?ty was formed in Brno in 1993 by Michal Navrátil and Martin E. Kyšperský – schoolmates at the time at Tuhá?kova Grammar School. For a year they got together and played on tapes of improvised sound space (in other words a big mess). They got together again in 1999, so that at first the band would only do improvised music (still the same old mess), but in time they clawed their way to motifs, which gradually became compositions. The band received its first award in the public inquiry on the server Freemusic.cz, where their song Palou?ek was declared “Demo of the Year”. The first official album was called “Jablko jejího pe?í” (Apple of Her Plumage) and it came out in 2004. Guests on this album included singer Dorota Barová and the virtuoso violinist Dorothea Kellerová. The group was nominated for an And?l Award in the genre of alternative music.

Rufus
In 2004, the band Rufus was formed as a phoenix from the ashes of several bands around Litomyšl. It was inspired by the sincere, “from-the-heart” poetic face of the Nedv?d brothers on one hand and by hard-as-steel rockers Katapult on the other. It thus began to come together as a distinct chapter in the music scene. A chapter written exclusively by their own songs, a chapter lined with successes in competitions, a chapter decorated with the happy faces of fans…The most current news is the first music video, the work of creator Libor Drobný, completely hand-created animated psychedelically – surrealistic affair.

SAD
The group Sad has been playing the West Bohemian as well as the state-wide rock scene for around two years. Individual members are skilled musicians, seasoned not only in their band SAD, but also in a number of other formations that have come along their rich musical path. They are winners of the Prague rock band competition Time Bands Cup.

Trio de Janeiro
The post-modern fascination of multicultural society, but also the lasting interest in fusion led to the founding of the band Trio de Janeiro in 2004. Their simplified instrumentation (percussion, electric guitar, soprano saxophone) enables a detailed study of rhythms and structures of world music during collective improvisation, and also the reflexes and answer to these stimulations performed in the language of jazz, funk or Latin, and therefore a language of originally ethnic music. The aims of the trio’s members isn’t original interpretation of authentic folk music, but rather emphasizing that which on this material is common for all music: multidirectional communication between players and listeners, between the past and present, between the world of thought and the world of sound.

Varhan?v Okamžitý Filmový Orchestr
The genre-unlimited Okamžitý Filmový Orchestr, with whom Varhan records his film and commercial music (advertisement, pop arrangements). Aside from studio work, this body formed by talented young musicians from the Academy of the Performing Arts and from conservatories devotes its time to concert activities. The band is oftentimes the opening or closing act at various film and theatrical festivals. They open summer theater groups and play spiritual music in churches.

Immediately after its premiere, Fast Arrows became one of the most successful comedies of the Moravian Slovak Theater Company in recent years. It’s no wonder that seeing Mirek Dušín with his close friends and the treacherous Brotherhood of the Cat Paws became an attraction not only on the home scene of the Moravian Slovak Theater but when away as well. Experts of Folgar’s Comics will most certainly enjoy the nicely woven tales of a group of five exemplary boys, and of other characters that look just like their printed friends.

Foosball Contest
Six football tables, a cloud of competing teams, only three winners. Come show who’s the boss here in Zlín!

Zlin Dog Beach Arena
Day – long tournament between beach volleyball teams. Try to measure your strength against teams of personalities and festival partners. The humongous speakers will shake the sand out of your bikinis, the swimming pool Na Zeleném will cool your sun-burnt bodies and who knows, maybe you’ll even win or at least hit someone famous upside the head.

Benefit day for dogs
Each year, the Zlín Dog holds a meeting of dogs and their masters. The event should bring entertainment not only to their owners but mainly to their four-legged friends. A number of games have been organized for all, but mainly you’ll enjoy the awards for the doggie Oscars. The afternoon fun will be increased by several concerts, and in conclusion dry dog food donated by the company Pedigree will be given to the Zlín dog shelter.

Zlín Dog Gala Evening
Ceremonial blathering about what it was all like, who never came and who you ticked off. We’ll also announce the winners of individual competitive categories, we’ll hand out awards, and we’ll bite your rear end. But so it doesn’t hurt that bad, you’ll see brave models during the student fashion show, which will accompany part of the multimedia project Ježíš Táhne na Berlín (Jesus is Heading to Berlin).
